Matt F. is a country music obesessed, math loving nerd who wants to give fellow country music fans a chart of their own.  The Dedicated Country Music Fan Chart was named because it takes a dedicated fan to participate in what Matt F. has to offer through the DCMF Chart Voting (5 minutes, 2 times a week).

You, the fan, are the ones that drive this blog.  It’s popularity depends on you and how dedicated you are to the greatest music in the world.  If this is your first visit, please take the time to look around and see if you like it.  If you do, please come back on a regular basis and help make the DCMF Chart and don’t be afraid to spread the word.

Note: The DCMF Chart has been in several different formats with different names since February 1998.  For the first 8 years, it was a Top 40 that was created weekly by Matt F.’s opinion.  In October 2006, Matt F. started using a formula that combined the airplay charts and his opinion.  In January 2009, Matt F. started The Country Music Lover’s (CML) Chart where the readers of The CML Chart Blog would get to vote and therefore take over the opinion portion of the formula (this is when the Levels got established).  In August 2011, Matt F. went to a 100% fan voted chart, renaming it the Dedicated Country Music Fan (DCMF) Chart, adding a second voting portion known as the Impression Poll.  This Chart is 100% fan driven and is not directly influenced by the radio or sales charts (though indirectly through using the add weeks of songs to the radio for add weeks on the DCMF Chart, unless they receive airplay early).
